Pick an airline and chances are it goes to Joburg – Africa’s commercial hub – and domestic flights are highly competitive giving you, the smug customer, a really good deal. Cape Town also receives direct flights from major cities in Europe, America and the Far East and serves the region both directly and via Joburg. But don’t fret about the details, drop us a line [contact] and we’ll organise everything for you. |

There is so much to see, so much to do, and even if your clients are here for a year, so little time. If exploring the area is your clients game we recommend they hire a car. Your clients will find Cape Town and the whole region easy to navigate and off the highways the pace is stately. The roads are excellent and well sign-posted in English and it’s worth reading the rare Afrikaans versions for a snigger. In your enquiry [contact], let us know if your clients want to hire a car and we’ll get the best deal with a major international rental company. |

Just say the word in your enquiry - contact us - and we will arrange transfers from airport to hotel and back again; if your clients prefer to go it alone the airport is the best place to pick up a hired car. |

While it is possible to get around entirely on public transport it may not the most convenient or comfortable option. However, it can be a fun and exciting way of exploring Cape Town and, provided you are sensible, is quite safe and reliable.
Metered taxis are safe and reliable and the only option after dark but they don’t ply the streets - your clients will have to phone and wait. Rates are around R10/km. Sea Point Taxis: 021 4344444; Marine Taxis: 021 4340434; Unicab: 021 4481720.
A handy way of nipping around during the day is the Rikki – a host of London Cabs which have been brought to Cape Town. Your clients can hire the cab themselves or share the ride with hopefuls on their way to an audition or tourists in matching outfits heading for the cable car. Call 0861 Rikkis - 0861 745547 and expect to wait 15 to 30 minutes.
Buses, trains and the all-African minibus concept cannot be beaten for price either as a means of transport or a 15-minute sideshow. However, the informal nature of these modes, leaves room for error and mishap and they should only be used by experienced travellers and never at night. |
