Cape Cadogan
Kloof Street, City Bowl, Cape Town
- 'Oh dear, another terrible day in Africa'
- Imperial luxury in a converted farmhouse
- Subtle colours, textures, fabrics and a mix of antique and modern pieces
The Cape Cadogan could have been the setting for Greta Scacchi’s White Mischief and indeed Oscar Wilde, to whom the decor has been lavishly dedicated, would have felt quite at home in this regal Victorian-style guest house.
Cream and earthy colours have been used throughout the house and each room has been individually decorated with antique pieces and modern fittings. Most rooms have private courtyards and all are equipped with such modern conveniences as our dear Oscar could never have even dreamed of.
In addition to the luxurious styling, the Cape Cadogan offers a level of service that goes beyond the ordinary: transfers, private vehicle and personal tours of the winelands are just a few of the extra miles they go to give your clients the ultimate in decadent pampering.
Breakfast is served in the plush dining room overlooking the pool and garden and your clients can dine in one of the numerous award-winning restaurants in the vicinity. The dedicated staff will help choose a venue or, if you prefer a bit of privacy, will arrange an intimate evening meal.
Wilde said, ‘To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.’ He hadn’t stayed at the Cape Cadogan then, or his famous quote may have been a little different.
